About
The Kilgore Chamber Star Foundation, established in 2022, is a 501 (c) 3 organization according to the Foundation’s bylaws. The Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce provides staff support for general administration, financial accounting services, and fundraising at no cost to the KC Star Foundation. The Kilgore Chamber Star Foundation with a board of directors, serves as the charitable arm of the Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce.
Purpose
The Kilgore Chamber Star Foundation’s purpose is to advance, support, and strengthen the Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce initiatives that engage the community to address business, education, economic, and workforce development, community enhancement programs, arts, culture, history, and services that will positively impact the quality of life as well as improve our quality of education and economic growth in the Kilgore, Texas area.
The KC Star Foundation also includes increasing educational opportunities, supporting entrepreneurship, developing our future workforce, and providing professional growth. One way we accomplish this is with the E4 Leadership Kilgore program. E4 engages our young professionals with education, networking, and mentoring activities to retain them in our community through their connections, professional development, and leadership exposure. The creation of the E4 Leadership Alumni will also be a project/program of the KC Star Foundation.
The Kilgore Area Chamber of Commerce Education Committee will be able to create initiatives that include college scholarships for local students to attend Kilgore College, coordinating employment opportunities for area seniors with local manufacturers, provide soft skills training programs, vocational tech signing days for students who enroll in the vocational certificate programs at Kilgore College, as well as other programs that will be funded with donations to the Kilgore Chamber Star Foundation.
